I love history and for some time now, I have wanted to read about early church history. I have done some reading about it, but I have wanted to read the Catholic church’s perspective of early church history since as an organized body, they were right there.
It is so interesting to me how the traditions of orthodoxy have changed and transformed and yet have stayed so much the same. According to the website linked, first communion gifts are a huge deal.
From what I read on first communion gifts in wikipedia (yes, someone specifically wrote about that topic), Lutherans are one of the few protestant churches to practice first communion. Also on that site is a book called, Catholicism for Dummies, and a book called, John Paul II For Dummies. That that one cracks me up.
