Getting Active Again

Filed under: dieting, exercise — Ted Johns @ 10:36 am

I can’t wait until Susan and I can take Susannah out for some good long hikes. We are planning on going to Old Rag Mountain in the Shenandoah Valley of Western Virginia this fall, like we have been doing for some time now. She got me hooked on the hike. It is one of the toughest hikes I have ever done, but when we finish, I have a wonderful sense of accomplishment. Not to mention the awesome pictures available on the trip.

That is just a weak glimpse of the majesty going up the hike. It is so amazing to me the size of the boulders up on this mountain peak. I just think that, yes, you can take diet pills like tenuate, but you can also get into hiking. I do not have a problem with supplements and medicines that help us, but the benefits are plentiful in getting natural exercise. Now that our daughter has arrived, she will be around seven months when we usually hike in October, so we will see if this year we can get back up there.

Baby Susannah is…Getting Closer!

Filed under: dieting, drinks — Ted Johns @ 5:33 pm

Two weeks and a couple days now and counting before the big appearance in our family. Last week Wednesday, the nurse who performed the ultrasound on Susan saw that she is head down with her back to the left and feet to the right. But we have felt her backside lately just above Susan’s belly.

Pretty soon we’ll be running around the house after Susannah…Lord willing, of course. Thank you, Lord! I hope to get worn out doing the running. I will have to get a metabolism booster in order to keep up!

Dieting

Filed under: dieting, weight loss — Ted Johns @ 12:24 am

Very interesting. I often wonder about all the dieting stuff out there. One of the most intriguing products I have heard about in the last year is a product called hoodia. It peaked my interest because Susan and I have a friend from South Africa. She actually has a dual citizenship in South Africa and the United States of America. Anyway, hoodia, I guess, comes from a plant in South Africa. And now it seems to be in everything with regard to weight loss and the best diet pills.
